Gregory Ross is the Senior Pastor of First Christian Church in San Marcos, Texas, a position he has served for the last 10 years. He attended Abilene Christian University and earned a B.A. in New Testament Studies and did post graduate work in Biblical and Patristic Greek. He has served churches in Virginia and Texas, worked with a mission team in India for ten years, and worked with the Heartbeat radio program for eight years. Gregory has two daughters and four grandchildren, and loves his two grand-dogs. He enjoys painting and playing guitar and harp. He is happy to be part of the human family.
A native of San Antonio, Eric Thompson began his music studies at the age of 7, taking piano lessons with Thelma Gonzalez for several years. While working in the San Antonio area as a collaborative and solo pianist, he earned his Master’s and Doctoral degrees from The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with Gregory Allen. Dr. Thompson has appeared as soloist with the San Antonio Symphony, Brazos Valley Symphony, Mid-Texas Symphony, University of Texas Orchestra and Austin Civic Orchestra. We have been privileged to have him serve First Christian as pianist, both as accompanist and soloist, since 2021. Dr. Eric Thompson currently resides in New Braunfels with his wife, Valerie, and their two daughters.
