1 Thessalonians 5:17 in The Living Bible says,

“Always Keep on Praying.”

Prayer is an essential part of our relationship with God. Hebrews 4:16 says we can approach God with confidence, knowing he is full of grace and mercy and ready to listen.

During the season on Lent, from Ash Wednesday on February 17 to Easter Sunday April 4, we are engaging in a church-wide experience that will unite us in prayer. We will learn how to pray with more confidence and greater faith. It’s called. . .

During these forty days we will learn to experience prayer as not just asking God for things - it’s a two-way conversation with God that requires us to talk, but also to stop and listen – and wait to hear back from God. Seven Sunday/Online Messages from Gregory will guide this journey for us.

Daily resources for individuals and resources for the whole family will be coming your way.

The Pandemic is a Spiritual Journey

From Pastor Gregory

As we draw closer to Lent, we recall that Jesus headed to Jerusalem knowing his journey was the way of the cross. He did not hesitate, knowing God was with him. That is how he was able to endure, and to model the way of the cross for us, his followers. During this pandemic there has been much anxiety, uncertainty, suffering and loss. We must not let any circumstance separate us from the love of God. Like Paul to the Philippians, we must learn to be content in any and all circumstances, not only in abundance but also in want. We can do all things through him who gives us strength. And, our families, friends, neighbors and community needs us to be the light of God’s power and peace. Let us therefore not live in reaction and fear, but let us model our faith and hope. God is good! All the time! In good times and in bad times. Praise God for today and for tomorrow!
