Invite your friends, family and neighbors.
From the beginning, writers of the Christmas story have been bothered by the inn,
with the stable and manger close at hand.
That is where we find ourselves: not by the shepherds, whose poverty and simplicity we lack; and not by the wise men, whose watchfulness
and decisiveness we lack. We are, at best,
guests at the inn. We sleep; we follow our
own plans and dreams.
Can we be awakened by the angels’ news?
That is the question.

We will meet at Brookdale N. at 11:45 or if you want a ride, come to the church at 11:30. Children, youth
and adults are welcome.
Angel tree gift deadline is this Sunday. Please bring your gifts wrapped and tagged with the tag you took from the tree. If there is more than one package/bag, please tie them together or note on the card the name or number of the child, or adult. Gifts will be delivered to Mendez on Monday, December 16.
Gifts to Brookdale will be delivered Saturday, December 21.
Caroling: Please all adults and children join us on Saturday, December 21 to carol at Brookdale North. This is a wonderful intergenerational opportunity for all ages to bless and be blessed.
We will meet at Brookdale at 11:45 a.m.
Reminder for Parents of Children: Our final rehearsal for the Children’s Pageant will be this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Then we will get in our costumes and share the story of Jesus’ birth with the congregation at 10:30. The children will return to Children’s Church to decorate cookies for Brookdale. A great day for them to minister to others. Don’t miss out!
Sunday, December 29:
10am coffee and goodies in fellowship hall, like we need the goodies, but it's still three days until New Year resolutions time.
At 10:30 we will gather as families in the celebration room to sing a few carols, have communion together and watch
a 23 minute family Christmas classic,
"The Very First Noel."
Childcare will be available for babies and toddlers.
